Everything Everywhere – an IT upgrade solution
April 23, 2012
An email communication strategy was required to drive forward the delivery of 2000 new laptops and send messages to those due for an upgrade. It was essential that an 80% delivery target was achieved as a large financial investment had already been made to upgrade the IT estate.
An online booking system using database logic was created to spread the flow of real time appointments giving the option to select a preferred collection slot. This automated booking system was integrated into their account to provide a clear email audit trail when appointments were confirmed, re-scheduled or cancelled.
An up-to-date daily report detailing exact figures for each day enabled resources and hardware deliveries to be planned in a more effective and responsive manner.
Through a series of email messages, reminders, prompts and SMS campaigns the project was completed in just 6 weeks. 89% of targeted employees collected a new laptop and an estimated cost saving of £40,000 made.
A better understanding of particular problem areas means that Everything Everywhere can plan for a larger IT upgrade in the future.
