Essential Spa – a free trial solution for a small business

With very little marketing budget, the Extravision free trial campaign offer, proved to be "win, win" for Essential Spa, an independent small business based in the LA Fitness gym on King Street, Manchester. The spa delivers luxurious and quality therapies using Decleor products; combining holistic well being with clinically developed treatments designed to target specific concerns, whether these are muscular aches and pains, concerns about ageing or an interest in detoxification.

Challenge

The luxury spa facilities are a hidden gem in central Manchester and the clients’ marketing objectives were to raise awareness and entice new customers; using a special offer hook of a £30 treatment (which would usually be £105) a 30% discounted membership offer and a time-related 15% discount on Decleor products.

With very little experience of email marketing, Essential Spa were delighted to rely on the expertise of the Extravision team, to manage their first campaign. Based on a simple PDF provided by Essential Spa; a visually appealing lead generation template was designed, built and sent through the Extravision platform to around 7000 email addresses. Click here to view.

In line with the brand proposition; Extravision designed a clutter-free template, using a relaxing colour palette and featuring a creative montage of impactful spa imagery to the right, with clear messages to the left. 

Results

As part of their 30 day free trial, Essential Spa were given access to evreports so they were able to look at the campaign statistics as well as all email replies being delivered straight to their inbox.

The spa received several enquiries as a result of this “less is more” visually appealing campaign; which were quickly converted into bookings and memberships. This small independent business now has 100% confidence to use email marketing as an advertising channel again in the future and are also considering starting a regular newsletter in 2011.
