I’m going to show my age here but it’s exciting times at Extravision and in a recent presentation by my technical director, I found myself reminded of the opening catch phrase of one of my favourite childhood TV programmes,
“Gentlemen….we have the technology. We can make him better than he was. Better...stronger...faster.”
Well, gentlemen, and of course ladies, I’m afraid we haven’t built our own Six Billion Dollar Man but:
If you want to see where your email recipients are, then better than a bionic left eye, why not use our geo-location tool? It identifies where your recipients are and tailors the content of their email to that location. It may not have night vision but it will certainly guide your customers to your nearest store or restaurant.
Do you want your campaigns to run and run at tremendous speed and make great leaps? You don’t need bionic legs, but a real time countdown embedded within your email campaigns. It’s great for adding urgency and let’s your customers and clients know how long they’ve got before your offers run out.
A bionic right arm may have the equivalent strength of a bulldozer and have the added bonus of a Geiger counter but if you want your email content to really pack a punch, then utilise truly mobile design that changes the layout of the email design and most interestingly, the content, dependent upon the devise used to access it.
And what about video content? Yes, we really do now have the technology! Those barriers we’ve all experienced have now been bulldozed away with video that is automatically formatted according to the recipient’s devise.
…Now all I need to do is convince the tech team to incorporate electronic grinding-like sound effects and slow motion imagery and we’re sorted!
