Infrastructure

Extravision is committed to maintaining the security, integrity and confidentiality of customer data and we have invested heavily in our technical infrastructure.

The Extravision technology platform is based on an industrial strength Java, Linux and MS SQL server architecture making it both extremely robust and secure. It is highly scalable to handle substantial volumes of traffic and significant increases in activity. All Extravision servers reside behind an Industry leading hardware firewall to protect all systems and data from intrusion and all the mission critical systems are hosted in a state of the art datacentre. This is an environment where access is restricted to the welcome and the invited, 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. The datacentre infrastructure is as follows.

Power

The datacentre is constructed with UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supplies) and stand-by generation systems, raised floors, cable management and air conditioning to ensure a resilient location for the important infrastructure equipment. UPS delivery is backed up with high capacity power generators with at least 48 hours’ worth of fuel; ample to survive disaster scenarios.

  • Multiple UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supplies)
  • High Capacity power generators with 48hrs worth of fuel
  • Air Conditioning

Security

The datacentre is manned 24 x 7 and monitored throughout via CCTV and manned patrols.

  • 24x7 on-site manned
  • Customer access list, Smart Card, escorted visits
  • CCTV throughout the facility
  • Reinforced raised floors

Cooling/fire suppression

The temperature and humidity with the rack is constantly monitored and alerts automatically if the temperature exceeds a certain range.

  • Temperature of 230C (±20) in equipment zone
  • Humidity of 50% (±10%)
  • VESDA fire detection system
  • Double knock high fog fire suppression system

These are the differentiating factors that enable you to focus on your marketing and customers rather than the technology.
